 What a great summer!! We had record attendance, extremely competitive tournaments, and loads of fun out doors where our campers showed off their sports skills and the ability to work as a team. The weather was great, with only a few really hot days and only one or two rain days.

| 2008 International Chess Academy Summer Camp Review: |
 By now most of the children who went to this year’s camp are immersed in math, science, and literature. Their teachers are tough, and as is usually the case with each successive grade, so is the curriculum. Of course, unless most of them stared at the tip of their pencil’s eraser last year, all of this fractions-distractions mumbo jumbo should be a piece of delicious home economics baked cake.

Timothy Hoahg and Alec Weisbort had won sport competition (each in their age group).
David Fefer and Alec Weisbrot won team blitz.
David Shekhtman won main blitz, Alister Collins won section two and Jacob Siegel won section three.
Alec Weisbrot had won section 2 rated tournament with perfect score (3 out of 3).
And Michael Aksen won section 3 rated tournament also with perfect (3 out of 3) score.

First of all let me comfort the parents who are far away - Martin and Katya had survived weekend #1 playing miniatured golf and weekend #2 sightseeing in New York. As far as chess lessons they were very intense and kids (hopefully) learned a lot this week. Max Yelsky had won the weekly competition, Martin Trost was second and Eve Litvak third. Great Job!

 Our program offers chess instructions geared to every child's skill level. Our staff includes chess grand masters, international chess master and state licensed teachers. We provide 4:1 student-teacher ratio. Last summer we have successfully utilized our park's location for sports' activities. We played soccer, volleyball, basketball, and tennis.
